Summer Camp Counselor

The Arc of York & Adam's Counties is looking to hire a responsible, enthusiastic, caring, camp counselor for our 2024 season at Camp Pennwood.

Camp Pennwood is a recreational summer camp program for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, from ages 6 to 21 years old.

The 2024 camp season for campers is from July 8th- August 9th, Monday-Friday, from 9:00 AM-3:30 PM.

This year's camp program is full of opportunities for campers to enjoy good company, make new friends, reconnect with old ones, and engage in seasonal, social, and leisure activities.

Camp staff must also be available for orientation on June 24th, 25th, and 26th from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

This summer, day camp serves approximately 50 campers daily and employs about 25 staff members under the leadership of the camp director and the director of community services. 

• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Job Type: Temporary/Seasonal

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Experience:

• working with individuals with disabilities: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
